What is Turning Point?
TPLogoTurning Point is a Christian Youth Festival for young people aged 11 – 18 held at the Ganaway Activity Centre in Millisle.  It is organised by a dedicated team of BB, GB and church youth leaders and is generously supported by a number of agencies, including: Christian Aid, open Doors, Scripture Union, Crown Jesus Ministries, UCB, 24/7 Prayer, The Bible Society, and Blitz Milkshakes.

What goes on?
Popular features such as The Live Lounge (hosting events such as SingStar Superstar, The Arcade and the Big Quiz), Cinema, Pamper Parlour, Prayer Pod, Talent Show and The Trading Post (which offers exclusive Turning Point merchandise and bookstall) will all return in 2016.

The outdoor activities at Ganaway have all been exclusively reserved for those attending Turning Point.  Young people and leaders can have a go at the high ropes, canoeing,  climbing tower/zip line or head underground in the caving complex.

As well as all these, we run a wide range of sporting activities including football, tag rugby, hockey, volleyball, cricket, extreme frisbee, hoopla and crazy golf.

We also have games, activities and competitions down on the beach.  For more info on our programme see our website.

How does it work?
Our programme is designed by young people on our Management Team who have been to Turning Point before, and aims to allow your young people to decide which activities they would like to do whenever they want to do it, providing them maximum control over the shape of their weekend. The only element of our programme where we seek everyone’s participation is during worship times.

Where can we sleep?
We offer indoor accommodation in twin rooms and a campsite.  We have some large tents (sleeping 6-8 people) which can be hired for the weekend for those groups who do not have their own canvas.  Just let is know and we can reserve these for you.

Who can attend?
Turning Point is open to all youth groups (age 11-18) so why not share this experience with all the youth organisations in your church.  Many groups come as a combined group.  If you need more copies of this information sheet, it can be downloaded, along with forms, from our website.

How do we book?
The easiest way to book is to read the Booking Information Sheet and complete the forms on the Information page which can be got from BB House.

How can you help?
An event like Turning Point requires numerous volunteer staff to help with all aspects of the festival. If you would like to volunteer some of your time, for all or part of the weekend, then please check get in touch.

We look forward to seeing you at Turning Point 2018!
